Professional Profile

I lead mobile engineering teams that ship software people actually depend on. At Bosch, that's the Android diagnostics platform that tells a technician what's wrong with your car before you're stuck on the shoulder figuring it out yourself.

Somewhere in the last few years I went from writing the code to being responsible for whether it ships. It turns out I like the second job even more. I run the whole arc: requirements, design, delivery, monthly releases for customers in the US, Canada, and Mexico.

Hand me an unsolvable problem and I get quietly obsessed until it isn't. Lately that's meant modernizing our release pipeline and integrating AI frameworks into how we work day to day.

I believe in clean solutions over clever ones, and in failing fast.

I care about the craft. Kotlin, Compose, and anything at the intersection of mobile and machine learning will hold my attention longer than they should.

I have spent 8+ years building and leading mobile teams across Android and iOS, from hyperlocal and e-commerce platforms to automotive diagnostics. Today I own roadmap, delivery, and release end to end for a multi-customer platform spanning US, India, and EU engineering groups. Below is a short history of my professional work experience:

Bosch Automotive Service Solutions

Lead Software Engineer

July 2023 - Present
● Lead two cross-functional teams across US and India and coordinate delivery with EU for an Android automotive diagnostic platform supporting 500+ vehicle models across 20,000+ field devices running 2.5M+ vehicle scans and calibrations monthly.
● Own the feature pipeline end to end: convert customer requirements into technical specifications, break solutions into work packages and run delivery as scrum master through sprint planning, review, and retrospective.
● Drove AI adoption from zero, securing approval for GitHub Copilot and Cursor and instituting AI-assisted code reviews; built a release-branching agent with automated Jenkins integration testing that saves ~30 engineer-hours per release and ended six consecutive months of delayed releases.
● Cut the outstanding-issue backlog 40% through defect triage and prioritization by severity and field impact while owning monthly release management with DevOps across build readiness, code freezes, validation branches, and validation-cycle rebuilds.
● Hired and onboarded engineers alongside the hiring manager, running shortlisting and interviews for US and EU roles and onboarding the India sister team; contributed the performance feedback to review cycles.
● Led modernization of the codebase: SVN to Git migration, consolidation of brand-specific branches into a single configurable branch, migration to Kotlin and recent Android SDKs, and introduction of Jetpack Compose, Dagger/Hilt, and crash analytics.

Sep 2020 - July 2023
● Spearheaded development of mobile automotive diagnostic software for North America's leading motorcycle company, contributing across the full SDLC from requirements and test-driven development through validation and release management.
● Rebuilt an existing Android-based automotive diagnostic tool on Xamarin (C#, XAML), enabling a hybrid ecosystem across Android, iOS, and Windows.

May 2020 - Aug 2020
● Built a bidding algorithm for weight loss tracking, enabling monetization of weight loss challenges between users.
● Built the payment gateway with Braintree and PayPal SDKs, supporting in-app purchases and payouts via PayPal, Venmo, Apple/Google Pay, and cards on Android and iOS.

● Led a team of 12 across product planning and test management for a hyperlocal service platform, managing a $120,000 budget and instituting monthly Android and iOS releases.
● Redesigned and rebuilt the Android application in Java and the iOS application in Objective-C, cutting crash rate 65% and app size 75% while growing downloads to 46,000 on Android and 26,000 on iOS.
● Formalized Agile practices and built in-house expertise across UI/UX, mobile, CMS, and testing, saving ~30% of intended spend.
